Thai Massage
No. 01Our cornerstone. A mat-based treatment of stretching, gentle compression and targeted pressure-point work — designed to lengthen tight muscles, free joints and quiet a busy mind.
Step away from the noise of the everyday. At Saeng Daw, ancient Thai healing meets a calm, newly refurbished sanctuary on Elliott Street — guided by a decade of practiced, professional hands.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4.7 29 Google reviewsSaeng Daw was founded on a simple belief: that a great massage is more than a treatment — it is a conversation between practiced hands and a tired body, conducted in stillness. Every session at our Tyldesley studio begins with that conversation.
Eid, our therapist, trained in the traditional schools of Thai bodywork and has spent over a decade refining the art. Treatments are tailored to each visitor — softer on a stressed week, deeper when knots demand it — and adjusted on the table, in real time, to your comfort.
We welcome both men and women. The studio is private, warm, and recently refurbished. On-street parking and several public car parks sit moments away.
Each treatment is tailored — softer or deeper, slower or more focused — to meet you exactly where your body is. Sessions can be combined or extended; just ask when you book.
Our cornerstone. A mat-based treatment of stretching, gentle compression and targeted pressure-point work — designed to lengthen tight muscles, free joints and quiet a busy mind.
Warm herbal compresses, infused with traditional Thai botanicals, pressed slowly along the meridians. Deeply soothing — particularly on aching backs, shoulders and weather-worn joints.
Firm, deliberate pressure for stubborn knots and chronic tension. Best for desk-bound shoulders, lower-back tightness and athletic recovery — adjusted to a pressure you can settle into.
Targeted work for runners, lifters and weekend warriors. We focus on the muscle groups doing the most work — releasing trigger points, supporting recovery, helping you train tomorrow.
A gentler, fully-oiled treatment with long, flowing strokes — for anyone who simply needs to switch off. Ideal as a first visit, or after a particularly heavy week.
A focused treatment for the scalp, face, neck and shoulders — releasing the small muscles where tension headaches and screen-fatigue collect. A short, deeply restorative pause.
For centuries, healers across Thailand have wrapped fragrant herbs in muslin compresses — lemongrass, ginger, kaffir lime, turmeric — steamed them gently, and pressed them along the body's meridian lines.
Our Hot Stem Massage is that ritual, brought to a quiet room on Elliott Street. The warmth carries the herbs deep into tired muscle; the slow pressure does the rest.
A great massage is what your body would say to itself, if it could speak. — our quiet philosophy
Our single treatment room is laid out fresh before every visitor — new linens, a traditional Thai bed-runner, folded towel sculptures and seasonal flowers. The setting changes with the season; the care behind it does not.
Highly recommend Thai massage! I have been here three times now and will be going back. Price is reasonable and the massage is the best. I always come away feeling super relaxed and a lot less tense.
Good sport massage, good for back problems and other muscle issues, friendly and helpful.
The best deep tissue massage around.
Great, relaxing massages in a very nice peaceful environment. I highly recommend it, if you have back pains, or just a routine massage.
What an amazing treat. I feel I am walking taller. The deep tissue massage really helped with my aching back and shoulders. Lovely room, excellent therapist. I highly recommend.
Brilliant sports massage for lower back pain and leg injury. Very knowledgeable about recovery stretches. Clean shop, tidy and very relaxing from the start. Will be going back.
Excellent. Well worth a visit. 100%.
Very clean and tidy shop. The deep tissue massage was very good for my back, shoulder and neck. Fantastic experience — 10/10.
I had a sports massage with Eid and would highly recommend. With some other places I can find massages too gentle, but at Saeng Daw, the masseuse was very attentive and applied a decent amount of pressure to work on my knots. Will definitely be back.
Experienced the sports massage and it was excellent. Great pressure but very relaxing too. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent deep tissue massage.
Lovely ladies and very good massage — would definitely recommend.
Very good massage. I will come back.
Excellent service.
I started having treatment for lower back pain 3 months ago as an alternative to the chiropractor, which wasn't working for me. The massage is amazing — I always feel the benefits longer than other treatments, which is why I keep going back. Definitely recommend.
I contacted for a sports massage as I am running the Lisbon marathon on Sunday. They fitted me in this afternoon. The woman was very friendly and the massage was brilliant. She focused on my legs as requested. The massage room is very relaxing as well as the music. I will be visiting again when I return from my marathon. Thank you.
My husband thoroughly enjoyed his 60-minute full-body massage. She was extremely professional and a revisit next month will be scheduled.
I attended my first session yesterday, and really enjoyed my experience. Was a little nervous at first, as I haven't been for a massage in years. The lady was very welcoming and a credit to the profession.
I'm so impressed with the massage technique. I was suffering from sciatic pain but this helped absolutely. Definitely will come again.
Wonderful — feel rejuvenated. Will definitely be returning!
The lady that works there really maintains the place and knows how to do a good massage. She is very nice to deal with and visits are easy to book — just call and let her know the time and she will confirm if she is available. I will definitely come back.
Saeng Daw Thai Massage has very nice and friendly staff. I love the place.
The fastest way is to book online via Fresha — choose your treatment, pick a time and you're done.
If you'd rather get in touch directly, call or text 07477 540 783, or email saengdaw.massage@gmail.com — we'll find the right slot together.
For traditional Thai and Hot Stem treatments, loose, comfortable clothing is ideal — we'll provide everything else. For oil-based treatments (deep tissue, sports, relaxing), most visitors undress to their comfort and are covered with fresh linens throughout.
You'll be guided through what to expect when you arrive, and you can always pause or adjust at any point.
Yes, when there's a free slot. Booking ahead is always more reliable, especially at weekends, but if you're passing through Tyldesley do come in — we'll find a time if we can.
On-street parking sits directly outside the studio on Elliott Street, with several free public car parks within a few minutes' walk. We're opposite the Bargain Booze shop — easy to spot.
Standard treatments run for 30 minutes or 1 hour. Longer sessions are sometimes possible by request — please call ahead so we can set aside the time.
Absolutely. We welcome visitors of all genders. Treatments are private, conducted in a dedicated room, and tailored to whatever you need — first-timers especially welcome.
Many of our regulars come in for exactly that reason — lower back pain, sciatica, sports recovery, post-marathon tightness. Mention your concerns when you arrive (or when you call), and Eid will tailor pressure and technique accordingly. If you're under medical care, please check with your GP first.
We accept appointments by phone, text, email or Fresha — and welcome walk-ins when there's a free slot. The studio sits opposite Bargain Booze on Elliott Street, with parking moments away.
